I retained Ken Byers and his team for domestic related charges. My spouse did not wish to cooperate at all with the prosecution. On the trial date, the crown did not have the necessary witnesses there and asked for an adjournment. Ken cross examined the officer and was able to show that the police had not made the right efforts to get the witnesses there. As a result the Judge denied the Crown request for the adjournment and my charges were dismissed. Ken’s command and presence in court was something to see. He also quoted his fee at the beginning and it was exactly what I was charged in the end.
