Steve developed a strong work ethic at a very young age labouring in the tobacco fields in and around Aylmer, Ontario.
He studied Political Science at Western and received an Honours B.A., graduating with the highest academic distinction on the Dean’s Honours List.
Steve “back-packed” through Europe for a few months before attending studying law at the University of Ottawa. Steve focused his studies on criminal law and Graduated Cum Laude. He was called to the bar of Ontario in February 2002.
Steve now practices exclusively in the area of criminal defense. He is a regular guest instructor at the Intensive Trial Advocacy Workshop at Osgoode.
Steve is very passionate about his work and will make every effort to protect your rights and protect your liberty, and ensure by all legal means available that the tools of government (the police) maintain strict adherence to the limits of the powers generously afforded to them by members of the community.
Steve plays and coaches hockey, loves riding dirt bikes, and sails often as possible.
If you are charged with a criminal offence, you are NOT a criminal, you are a person charged with an offence, and you deserve the best defense the law allows you.
